1.Objective and Scope
This document applies to all HTB Group companies and aims to establish and improve guidelines related to ESG – Environmental, Social & Governance issues for the development of the Group's business and operations in line with sustainable development principles.
2.Principles and Guidelines
As a company specialized in engineering and construction projects, the HTB Group is aware of its responsibility to the planet and to society.
The ongoing search for excellence in solutions and innovations that bring benefits to its clients, investors and society has been part and parcel of the company's culture since its founding. Therefore, with each new contract, an opportunity arises to add sustainable value to projects, aiming to reduce adverse impacts and to constantly promote benefits through business. With each project, the HTB Group is engaged in the construction of an increasingly sustainable future by caring for the environment, preserving natural resources and valuing human beings.
The items presented below express the HTB Group's commitment to environmental, social and governance issues, embedding its strategies, processes and influence into its value chain. Each item graphically indicates an SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) relating to each established guideline.
Commitment to the Environment
Based on its culture of value generation and innovation, the HTB Group is committed to proposing rationalized and industrialized engineering and building solutions, focused on operational efficiency, reduction of pollutant emissions and the use of non-renewable natural resources.
The company regularly conducts studies to understand its environmental impact and its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, besides exploring the possibility and feasibility of using alternative materials and building systems that can contribute to GHG reduction.
The HTB Group implements environmental management on all its construction sites to continually improve its controls related to energy efficiency, pollution control, noise, and waste management.
Commitment to Social Issues
Aware of its social responsibility role, the HTB Group adopts attitudes that create value for its stakeholders and society.
The company values a safe and healthy work environment and is concerned about the well-being of its employees.

Commitment to Governance
Respect for and strict compliance with laws and regulations applicable to the company’s activity are principles required for all HTB Group’s employees, agents, representatives, subcontractors, suppliers and other business partners. Any act that constitutes a corporate crime or that jeopardizes the image of the HTB Group and its clients is not permitted.
The HTB Group's quality management system is NBR ISO 9001 certified and ensures compliance with contractual requirements relating to deadlines, costs and specifications, which are strictly followed by the company.
A fast and reliable customer service providing clear and accurate information, and the use of value engineering, are tools to achieve customer satisfaction and guarantee the HTB Group’s business profitability and continuity.
3.Roles and Responsibilities
To contribute to the promotion of a culture focused on the HTB Group's sustainable development, the following roles and responsibilities have been defined:
Management: Establish corporate policies and guidelines that foster sustainable development; define and supervise the business strategy related to ESG issues; define ESG goals and monitor their progress.
ESG Committee: Propose and implement the ESG strategy and decide on the necessary guidelines for its implementation; propose and monitor awareness-raising initiatives, projects and programs in line with ESG strategies; support Management in recommending decisions involving ESG-related issues.
